Kyla Müller

 

Kyla Müller is an admitted Attorney heading the Section 17(4) Claims against the Road Accident Fund at WF Bouwer Attorneys Inc. within the Special Trust and Curator Bonis Divisions. Kyla was admitted as Attorney in 2024, after completing her candidacy at the end of 2023, where she gained experience in general civil litigation and family law matters

Kyla qualified with an LLB (cum laude) in 2021, whereafter she obtained her LLM in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights in Military Operations in 2023, both at the University of Pretoria. She is currently a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Johannesburg in International Law with a focus on Counter-Terrorism and Non-International Armed Conflicts.

She has had various internships at the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the leading human rights firm Lawyers for Human Rights, the Public Prosecutor of the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court and she is a volunteer at the international NPO Translators Without Borders.

Kyla has completed various short course programs and workshops in International Cyber Law, the Law of Targeting, as well as Terrorism, Counter-Terrorism and the Rule of Law. Kyla has held various leadership roles, including as Chairperson of the Student Independent Electoral Committee and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Faculty of Law, both at the University of Pretoria.

She loves a cup of tea, sports, spending time with her loved ones, reading, writing and sharing a fun fact. Kyla has a passion for helping those who cannot necessarily help themselves and strives to assist those around her with kindness and a good sense of humour.
