In addition to his investigative and litigation work, he serves on the panel of the Master for taking court appointments to act as Trustee and/or curator bonis. Derik is also often appointed by the President of the Law Society of the Northern Provinces to act as a divorce liquidator, and as a member of the Association of Arbitrators of Southern Africa is often appointed to act as Arbitrator.
